(3) 教师启发学生预测故事大意,激发学生的阅读兴趣。如:Who says “Yes” ? So, when is the cat‘s birthday? (The cat’s birthday is either in January or in February.) When is the monkey‘s birthday? Is his birthday in January or February, too?
(4) 请学生自主阅读故事全文。
(5) 学生完成第一遍自主阅读后,教师通过与学生讨论读前呈现的问题,了解学生对故事大意的理解。如:When is the monkey’s birthday? Is his birthday in January or February?
Tip:这里的Is your birthday in January or February?不是选择疑问句,而是一般疑问句,就是问:“你的生日是不是在一月或二月?”而不是问“你的生日到底是在一月还是在二月?”相应地,录音的时候句尾均用升调,而不是January用升调,February用降调。
(6) 教师呈现有关故事内容的细节问题,引导学生再次自主阅读故事。如:When is the duck‘s birthday? How about the dog?
(7) 学生第二次自主阅读故事,边读边找到上述问题的答案。
