5.作定语

　　I have a lot of books to read.

　　我有许多书要读。

　　Would you like something to eat?

　　你要吃点什么吗？

　　He said he found a chair to sit on.

　　他说他找到了一张椅子来坐了。

　　6.带特殊疑问词的不定式

　　不定式可以和疑问句who, what, which, when, how, where等连用，构成不定式短语，在句中作主语、宾语和表语等。

　　How to get thereis not decided yet.

　　怎样去那里还没决定下来。（作主语）

　　I don't know what to say.

　　我不知道该说些什么。（作宾语）

　　The question is what time to get uptomorrow.

　　问题是明天早上几点钟起床。（作表语）

　　注意点：

　　1.在had better, had best, would rather...than, would sooner, do nothing but等词组后省略to。

　　I can do nothing butwait for Mum.

　　我只能等妈妈。

　　You had betternot go.

　　你最好别去。

　　2.当动词不定式略去时，常保留to表明省略了一个不定式。

　　Will you take a walk?

　　你想散散步吗？

　　I'll be glad to.

　　我乐意。

　　Do you want to give a report?

　　你想作报告吗？

　　I perfer not to.

　　我不愿作。
