TheBrazilTeacher’sDayisanothersignificantamongcountriesoftheworldbecauseitisfittedwithsomesortofahistoricalbackground.Every15thofOctober,thetimeBrazilcelebratesthenationalBrazilTeacher’sDay,isalsothetimeEmperorPedroIsignedintolawcreatingtheschoolsforthelowerclasses.ItwasalsoinOctober15,1947thatthefirstteacherappreciationdaywascelebratedfromamongteachersonasmallschoolinSanPaulo.Asaresultoftheseverysignificanteventsinthehistoryofeducationinthecountry,theBraziliangovernmentofficiallydeclaredOctober15asteacherappreciationdaywaybackin1963.Thecelebrationhascontinuedtotakecenterstagefromthereonwards,andthesystemofeducationinthecountryalsoamazinglyimproved.EmperorPedroIwassoencouragedtoinstitutereformsineducationduringhisleadership.Heevenapprovedadecreewhichaimedtoregulateelementaryschools.

　　TheTeacher’sDayisalwaysrememberedbyteachersasthetimewhentheireffortsarebeingrecognizedbythegovernment,theparents,aswellasthestudents.Duringthisdaystudentsfloodtheschoolwiththeircommercialandself-madeappreciationandlovecardswhichtheteachershappilyandgladaccepted.

　　Biggerschoolswhohaveenoughfundswouldalsoofferspecialpartiesforteacherssothatonceinawhiletheycanalsominglewithoneanotherandshareeachother’sexperience–nottomentionthevariousBraziliancuisinethatareaalsoprepared.Thepartyisalsomeanttogivespecialcitationsandawardsforteacherswhohavemadeoutstandingandexemplaryperformanceinthefieldofeducation.Privateandgovernmentorganizationsjoinedthemselvesinrecognizingtheeffortsmadebytheseeducators.

　　Inschoolsalloverthecountry,theteacherappreciationdayisfun-filledwithentertainmentsasstudentsrendervariouspoemrecitals,songrendition,dancesandotherformsofentertainment.
