prefer (doing) sth. to (doing) sth. 意为“两者相比更喜欢(做)其中之一”。
在此结构中，to 是介词，接名词或动名词，结构中前后所跟成分一样。
例如：
He prefers tea to coffee.
茶与咖啡相比，他更喜欢茶。
He prefers doing shopping to going fishing.
购物与钓鱼相比，他更喜欢购物。
